8 Coolest Superhero motorcycle helmets

I’m an absolute fan of cool helmets. I really appreciate a nice helmet since it’s one of the few things that can make your outfit unique. Nowadays there are these superhero motorcycle helmets for sale. So I decided to make a list with the 8 coolest, nice looking superhero motorcycle helmets for sale right now!

Our list of 8 superhero motorcycle helmets

1. Spiderman superhero motorcycle helmet

Spiderman must be one of the best-known superheroes ever. I’ve found this inexpensive spider-man helmet on Amazon.

Spider-man is a Marvel comics superhero who first appeared in August 1962. IT’s a fictional superhero who was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Spider-man appeared in American comic books, as well in several movies and TV-shows.

As said before, the helmet itself is pretty inexpensive. It’s a cheap way to upgrade your looks while riding your bike. The helmet is made by HJC Helmets and weighs a total of 5 pounds. It’s a full faced helmet which is also DOT Certified.

It’s recommended to order the smoked visor with it since this makes the helmet look much better. Just be aware that you shouldn’t use the smoked visor whiles driving after dawn.

The helmet is red and blue colored and fits best with an outfit that has red accents. A nice combination would be a leather jacket with red accents and leather boots with red accents on them.

2. Venom superhero motorcycle helmet

We can dispute if Venom is a superhero, but I don’t think we can dispute the looks of this helmet. I’ve found this nice looking helmet with Venom print on Amazon.

Venom started off as a bad guy in the Marvel comics, he is the sworn enemy of spider-man. After his evolution however, he evolved into a superhero. Venom made his first appearance in ‘The Amazin Spider-Man #298’ in 1988.

The helmet itself is a HJC unisex adult full-face helmet. The model is the RPHA-11, from HJC. It weighs 5.5 pounds and is DOT Certified.

The base color of this helmet is black, with red and white accents. It fits well with either a black or a white jacket, which makes it ideal to combine with different types of jackets. I like the fact that I could wear this with my black winter jacket AND with my white mesh jacket.

The helmet features a dual shield lock system, which is an innovative center one-touch open/close locking system. The rapid-fire shield replacement system allows you to swap the shield super fast without the use of any tools. It also features a max air-flow top vent and a multi-cool interior with anti-bacterial fabric.

3. Zombie Clown motorcycle helmet

This next helmet doesn’t really feature a superhero, but it’s so good looking that I decided to put it into the list anyway. It’s a LS2 helmet featuring a zombie clown. The best part about this helmet is that it’s a glow in the dark image!

A zombie clown is a subversion of the traditional comic clown character. Creators added some horror elements into the clown, making it look absolutely terrifying.

The modern version of the zombie clown was actually popularized by Stephen King’s Novel ‘It’, which came out in 1986.

The helmet itself is a 2018 LS2 Happy Dreams helmet. It weighs 4 pounds and is DOT Certified as well. It comes out best when you combine the helmet with a dark visor, since the helmet itself is dark as well. It also prevents people from seeing your face, which adds a bit of mysteriousness as well.

The best part is that this helmet, like the spider-man helmet, is pretty inexpensive. You can check the price on Amazon if you click on the link above, and you’ll see it for yourself.

4. Military video game helmet

This helmet is one of my favorites. It’s the Icon Airflite Battlescar 2 Helmet (Revzilla). It makes me think of my afternoon schooldays where I would play Halo with my friends.

The helmet itself is quite outstanding. It has a green camo print and it includes a gold sun visor, which makes it look absolutely bad-ass. The helmet comes with both the clear and the gold visor in the box. I personally think this helmet will match with either a green or a black outfit.

The helmet is DOT certified and weighs 3.70 lbs. It’s long oval shaped, which means it best fits people with an oval head.

5. IRONMAN superhero motorcycle helmet

Next up in our list is the IRONMAN helmet from HJC Helmets. This Marvel Unisex Helmet is a tribute to the well known Iron Man.

Iron Man is the alter ego of Anthony Edward Stark. It is a fictive superhero from the Marvel Comics. It was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby and was first published in “Tales of Suspense #39” in March 1963.

This is the same type of helmet as the Spiderman and Venom helmet, which are also produced by HJC Helmets. Like those helmets, the Iron Man helmet is also priced very reasonable.

This superhero helmet comes with an orange visor. Our advice would be to combine it with a Gold HJC Helmet Shield (Amazon). Reason being that orange visors can be a bit overwhelming when riding in the bright sun. The gold visor will also make your helmet look even more bad-ass.

Like the others, this helmet is also DOT certified. It weighs almost 5 pounds and come with a helmet shield bag included.

6. Mike Wazowski helmet

Are you looking for a helmet that definitely stands out from the rest? Well, I’ve got one for you. It’s this Mike Wazowski helmet from HJC (Amazon).

Mike Wazowski is the one-eyed monster from Disney Pixar’s Monsters Inc. Is it a superhero? No! Is it a helmet makes you look bad-ass? Maybe. Is it unique? Most definite! This helmet will stand out from any other helmet and is very unique. It is not a common choice and you either love it or hate it.

The helmet comes with a special visor which actually has the same green color to the sides as the helmet itself.

With 7.34 pounds this helmet is quite heavy. It is DOT-certified (otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it) so it can be worn on public roads.

7. Be Batman with this motorcycle helmet

I’ve been looking for a Batman motorcycle helmet all over the internet, but there doesn’t seem to be one which is ready made. This helmet from GDM though, will make the perfect base for a Batman superhero motorcycle helmet.

The helmet is matte black and will do great for a ‘Batman superhero helmet project’. You just have to add the ears and a Batman logo to it to make it extremely bad-ass.

The helmet is produced by GDM and it’s the DK-120M model. It’s only 4 pounds heavy which makes it pretty lightweight to wear. This helmet is also DOT certified and legal to use on public roads.

The helmet comes with a clear and tinted visor. You can use the tinted visor during the day to keep some mysteriousness around Mister Batman. Afterwards, you can easily swap the tinted visor for a clear visor to ride whiles it’s dark outside.

8. Pixar’s CARS motorcycle helmet

Last but not least, this unique helmet form Cars. Cars is one of Pixar’s most well-known movie of all time. The helmet represents Lightning McQueen, the main character of the movie.

The helmet is produced by HJC, like many others in this list. It is colored red with yellow details and comes with a tinted visor.

It’s not the most chosen helmet, but definitely a good pick for the real Cars lovers. It weighs 5 pounds, is DOT certified and can be used on public roads.

Is it allowed to wear superhero helmets on the public road?

Some people asked me if it is allowed to wear graphic helmets on the public road. They didn’t ask for superhero specific helmets, but just graphic helmets in general.

Most countries/states will allow you to ride your bike with a graphic helmet. Just make sure they do not contain any disturbing graphics. The helmets featured in this list wouldn’t be a problem at all (graphic wise).

Another question would be if you can use them with the tinted or colored visors.

Is it allowed to use tinted visors on the public road?

This really depends on the state or country you live in. Many states and countries allow you to use tinted or colored visors. It may be prohibited to use them after dusk though.

My country doesn’t have any specific rules about tinted visors. What I do know, is that riding with tinted visors during nighttime is an absolute no-go. It’s super hard to see anything and it’s definitely unsafer than using a clear visor.

Personally, I always bring a pair of clear protective glasses with me. This allows me to ride with my visor open, in case I get caught by darkness unexpectedly.

More information can be found in this article regarding the legalness of tinted visors.

Can you buy second-hand motorcycle helmets?

I wouldn’t advise you to wear second-hand helmets. There are loads of safety risks into buying a second-hand helmet. Read more about it in this article: 7 Reasons why you shouldn’t buy a second-hand helmet.
